Bollywood Story | Bollywood's Past, Present and Future

At around morning 6:00 am, my phone starts ringing. I usually set the alarm for 7:00 am. I wonder why my alarm ringing so early. I took my phone and saw, it was a call from my friend Akhil. I thought it would be some emergency that why he is calling me in the early morning. I said hello, what happened? "Bhai Ki movie Lagi Hai," Akhil said. I was like, what? He was calling me to inform me about Salman khan (fans call him Bhai) movie. I said, "so what?" Then he is saying there is one Salman khan Bajarangi bhaijaan movie launch in the theater, and he has four tickets ticket for that movie first-day first show. I am not a big fan of Salman khan, but sometimes I like to watch his movie. I said so, "What's your plan?". "show is 7:15 am so be on time," said Akhil. I said ok and hung up the call.

So, I get ready and reached on time for the theater. I saw their theater was completely house full at the time. We went inside and took the seat. The theater was packed entirely with Salman's fans; most of them wore Salman's t-shirts and famous bracelets. My friend Akhil sat next to me, and he was explaining to me how it was difficult for him to get the first-day first show movie ticket for Salman's movie. he said he paid twice the amount for the ticket than the actual because the show was house full. I was shocked, like people are so mad about his hero. But who made the hero? Why people crazy about movies? Who made the first movie? many more questions start jumping ahead of my eyes. I started searching on the phone and got to know everything, all my inquiries related to one thing, Bollywood.

When I say Bollywood, what comes first in your mind? Most say colorful clothes and lots of music. But did you know the first Indian movie has no colorful cloths, and there was no music. it was an entirely silent film. are you Shocked? Even I was shocked when I get to know. Also, Mumbai plays a vital role in Bollywood.

Who started Bollywood? Dadasaheb Phalke was Indian cinema's first mogul. He made the Indian first ever film in 1913 'Raja Harish Chandra,' and he oversaw 23 films between 1913 and 1918.

How Bollywood gets its name? Indian film world needs a name like Hollywood. So journalist of magazine coined a name for Indian film "Bollywood." letter B derives from Bombay. Bombay (now called Mumbai) was the center of the film industry.

Why people crazy about Bollywood? Bollywood gave many heroes to the Indian film industry. All actors were known for their uniqueness and style. one of the significant reasons for Bollywood's success was 'Masala films.' It was the most popular commercial genre in Bollywood since the 1970s. They freely mix different genres, including action, comedy, romance, drama, melodrama, and musical numbers. Hit song means hit movie; this was the concept at that time. Have you ever wonder like me, why in 80s and 90s movie Hero don't know who is his father or who is his father killer? lol ! this was a suspense creator part of that movie and whole movie based on this secret. now its sounds weird but that time this suspense thrilled the people. there is so much memories we were created with Bollywood. like from songs to actor dressing style, everything was cool that time. Bollywood had given everyone new view of life style and it is so true. Agree? if yes than please share your experience in comment section.

but in the 20s senior Actor were start dominating the film industry. The reason, people were so used to their old heroes. But Bollywood started struggling among generation z because of the change in the movie genre. They are not much into romance, action, and melodrama types of movies. Only a good story and a good Actor (no matter he is famous or not) can easily win their hearts. So, Bollywood needs to find some good stories and real actors. Who knows in this advance and new generation Bollywood will take new track or ends.

"Hey, are you there, what are you thinking? The movie is about to start!" Said Akhil.
